The Greendale Chimney Tour was a fantastic experience with a very knowledgeable tour guide, Colleen. Hearing her stories and learning about the history of Greendale was well worth our journey from Florida. Many memories were brought back from the time I was growing up in Greendale during the mid 40's. Seeing my former home on Basswood Street was special. We enjoyed seeing the folk art chimney decorations created by Folk Artist, Al Emmons. Meeting Mr. Emmons was a special treat.

Colleen saved the day!! We girlfriends unfortunately came to Greendale to see all the spring flowers, only to find out it was the week in between the spring and annual flowers. So, there were NO FLOWERS! We were disappointed, but made the best of the shops and lunch at the Panther. Then we met Colleen. She was the BEST! Her passion, knowledge, and friendliness was Amazing. We had one of the Best personal tours we have ever had. We are so very appreciative and thankful to have met Colleen and had this GREAT experience. We also plan on coming back to see all the flowers! Thank you, Colleen.

Awesome tour! C.J and Colleen were fun and informative tour guides. The stories behind the chimney designs were fascinating, the art work is beautiful and the history is so interesting. We didn't want to the tour to end and we're already talking about booking another!

Thanks again for the wonderful tour yesterday. It brought back memories for all of us and new experiences that we will remember always. After the tour some of us explored some more. Eventually finding my childhood home. We also did go to the visitor center were I got the phone number for the Historical Society.

There were 5 of us on the tour. The lady that

gave the tour grew up in Greendale and was very

knowledgeable. Really enjoyed hearing about

the history of Greendale. Also enjoyed hearing

the history of the Chimneys. To see it on a walking

tour is definitely the way to do it.

I would highly recommend it!
